Job Description:
We are searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer who fits our core values and has a demonstrated history of success in the automation industry. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with customers and various team members. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems for our industrial automation projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create efficient and reliable solutions that meet our clients' specific needs. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting edge technology and be involved in the entire design process from concept to delivery. Travel is less than 5% of the time as most of our customer base is within 30 miles of our shop.Responsibilities Embrace and promote the core values that underpin our company culture Design, develop, and detail machine systems Design and develop end of arm tooling for robotic systems The ability to specify proper sensors, actuators, motors as part of the mechanical design Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and scope Calculate force requirements as well as loads and demands for servos and motors Calculate hydraulic and pneumatic force requirements Design Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Conduct testing and commissioning of systems to ensure proper functionality and performance Provide technical support during installation, startup, and ongoing operation Provide documentation including detail drawings and BOM's to completed project Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our mechanical systems Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering or Equivalent field 3
years' experience in Mechanical design Knowledge of machinery and automated systems Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Familiar with relevant industry standards and regulations Strong problem solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a team and interact with customers Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines If this sounds like a fit for you, please submit your resume, cover letter, and any relevant work history. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
